Alma Locket Pendant
Pendant developed to be tied around a bride's wedding bouquet, carrying photos of dear relatives. This jewel is designed to hold up to 4 photos, with a side articulation and 3 compartments. The pendant refers to the reliquaries of the Victorian era, bringing sinuous and delicate lines characteristic of the period.
Idea Generating...
After extensive market research and taking into account the needs and preferences presented by the client, alternatives of heart-shaped pendants with high relief detailing were generated.
3D modeling...
To develop this project, I've worked with Rhinoceros for the structure combined with Blender's sculpt tool for the detailing.
3d printing
The prototype was manufactured twice using resin 3D printing, verifying necessary adjustments and correcting them before the start of metal casting.
Casting
The rubber mold was manufactured from the resin prototype and then filled the mold with wax. The wax model then attached to the casting tree and cast in 950 silver.
Traditional Metalsmithing Techniques
After that, manual goldsmithing techniques were used to continue the jewelry manufacturing and achieve the final result.
The Necklace
Pendant in champagne gold plated silver and white cubic zirconia, accompanied by rolo chain.
